The Bismuth Mainnet is Proof-of-Work based. A custom sha-224 algorithm is being utilized and optimized for GPU mining. Block time generation is 1-minute.

The biggest Bismuth mining pools are Eggpool and Coinsaurus. An opensource solo mining software is also available which is called KBKminer.

The Bismuth Hypernode Side-Chain is Proof-of-Stake based.
Current Hypernodes ROI is 24.8 %, down from 30.0 % in March. We count 173 active Hypernodes with a total amount of active collateral of 5,090,000 BIS. That’s an increase of 29 active nodes since the last report.

The total amount of BIS in circulation is 34,76 million. Hence, the amount of active collateral accounts for 14.6 % of the total supply, or 27.6 % if the amount of inactive collateral is included.
